The Brema family have been winemakers for over 200 years. The company was founded back in 1887. It has expanded over the years; Ermanno Brema has modernized it with new equipment and new vinification techniques and has followed the life of the Barbera d'Asti DOCG almost step by step. It has become one of the few Barbera dÂ’Asti labels admitted to fine restaurants of the province and it was one of the first companies in Italy to have used the name of a Cru on its label. The philosophy of Ermanno Brema which has no disdain for innovative practices, does not betray the history nor the traditions passed down by his great-grandfather, by his grandfather Giuseppe Lazzarino and later on by his father Carlo Brema. The fifth-generation dcscendent of this winemaking family is the young Umberto, who has always believed in the values and principles of this work and has displayed love and passion for his territory ever since he was a child. High-quality wines are produced, obtained from steady and thorough work both in the vineyard and in the cellar. The commitment of the Brema family is constantly rewarded by awards and excellent reviews in magazines and specialized guides and their wines are appreciated throughout the world.
