In the oldest part of the cellar there is a date written, 1899... that's when the farmhouse where great-great-grandfather LEONARDO was born was built, at that time vines were cultivated but not only that, also cereals, fodder and cattle were raised Piedmontese breed.

Over the generations the company has specialized in the cultivation of vines and the production of wine because it was soon realized that the Collina Croja with its "poor" soils was especially suitable for the cultivation of VINE. "Croja" in Piedmontese dialect means "lean".

Over the years, first the father PIERCARLO with the mother GIUSEPPINA and then the brother GIANLUCA marked a radical change in the company philosophy, completing a decisive qualitative improvement in the management of the vineyard and the cellar to have higher quality grapes and obtain wines with precise characteristics and respectful of their territory. Finally, after his university studies and some national and international work experiences, MATTEO also decides to put down roots in the company and, following his parents' teachings, continues a path of research into quality and valorization of the territory. With him new wines are born such as "Le Bolle di Ariel" sparkling wines produced with the classic method, Nizza is born, an elite of our territory, Nebbiolo also arrives and ...?!

It is precisely the TERRITORY that makes the difference, the hard, calcareous soil composed of "sandstones", the altitude "400-450 m above sea level" and the particular microclimate characterized by the "marin" sea wind give it a very precise identity to our wines, great aroma, elegance and freshness, which is why the company has always used exclusively proprietary grapes.

The vineyards are located on average at 400 meters above sea level, resting on the gentle hills located between Langhe and Monferrato. Thanks to the position and altitude we can cultivate both white and black grape varieties, in particular we have 10 hectares of property located in the municipalities of Castel Boglione 9 and Calamandrana 1, entirely hilly.

Black grapes: Barbera, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Pinot Nero. White grapes: Moscato, Cortese, Chardonnay.
