The Ca' dei Mandorli estate is located in the municipality of Castel Boglione in the Alto Monferrato area, halfway between the towns of Acqui Terme and Nizza Monferrato. In total, the property consists of 80 Ha in a single body, 74 of which are dedicated to the cultivation of vines, at an altitude of 310 m. S.L.M

The soils are silty marls that in some areas tend to have a higher concentration of clay, deep and with a good supply of organic substance. Among the main characteristics is the powder-like consistency, which gives the soil the ability to drain excess water and hold it in depth, as a reserve to be used in periods of drought.

The climate is Mediterranean, with the almost constant presence of a southerly wind, called MARIN, i.e. from the sea, whose presence contributes to creating a ventilated microclimate in these areas, which is useful for the integrity and ripening of the grapes. The temperature range also serves to preserve the fruit and give the wine fragrance, finesse and elegance. The grapes cultivated are Barbera, Moscato Bianco, Brachetto and Nebbiolo.

The winemaking cellar is dedicated to the enhancement of the wine that is the symbol of this territory, Nizza docg, the Barbera wine produced according to a specific and very restrictive specification, exclusively on the hills of the 18 municipalities around the city of Nizza Monferrato, a particularly suitable area and the original cradle of Barbera.

Passion for the land, for the cultivation of the vines and great oenological knowledge are the main aspects that characterise the quality of the wines of this estate and represent the premise for optimal evolution in the bottle.
