The Cantina Sociale Barbera dei Sei Castelli is one of the most important wineries in Piedmont. It has cellars and vineyards in the heart of the classic Barbera dAsti docg zone - of which it is the largest producer - in an area between the Asti towns of Agliano Terme and Castelnuovo Calcea, a land well known and recognized as the home of excellence for the production of Barbera dAsti docg.
The numbers confirm the supremacy of the Cantina Sociale Barbera dei Sei Castelli: more than half a century of activity, 317 members-Winegrowers who cultivate 640 hectares of vines with an average annual contribution of 60 thousand quintals of grapes, a guarantee of quality and origin of the wines produced. The area covered by the Cantina Sociale Barbera dei Sei Castelli has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
