In 1891 Giovanni Cossetti began an activity that would soon prove to be successful, transforming the family farm into a winery. A land of excellent wines, already historic and appreciated at the end of the 19th century, Monferrato is a great place for wine production, from which the family, which has its deep roots here, has built its philosophy of quality. It was Clemente, the founders son, who made his wines known in Italy and abroad as early as the 1920s. For decades, his sons Giovanni and Mario would consolidate the business in all its components from the vineyard to the cellar and marketing.
It is currently Clementina Cossetti who runs the historic family business, together with her mother Maria Emma and sister Giulia. Around them is a close-knit and capable team of professionals, all with the aim of continuing to develop what the family has built with passion in over 125 years of history.
When you walk through the rows of vines as soon as you learn to walk and breathe in the intense perfume of the must from the grapes crushed in the cellar every harvest, it is easy to fall in love with a small and fascinating world, all enclosed in the hills where you were born. Today is my turn, which I face with the utmost commitment and the conviction that having roots firmly planted in the earth helps not only the vine but also the people.
