Clemente Guasti founded the winery in 1946, carrying on an old family tradition linked to the vineyard and wine. A true innovator, in the 1950s he began to select grapes from the top 20 farms in the Nizza Monferrato area, inaugurating the concept of farm vintage for Barbera. Andrea and Alessandro Guasti, who worked with their father Clemente for years, pursued his philosophy following his death.

Curiosity.
The family's viticultural vocation has distant origins; In fact, the pioneer was Secondo Guasti, who emigrated to California in 1881, bringing with him Barbera rootstocks and in the space of a decade planted the largest vineyard in the world. Evidence of his hard work can still be found in the city, he founded and still exists today, he keeps his namesake.
