Nizza Monferrato is the heart of the DOCG – a lively, history-rich town surrounded by vineyards that form part of the UNESCO World Heritage “core zone” Nizza Monferrato and Barbera. Among all the “Vineyard Landscapes of Piedmont,” it is the only town whose historic centre has also received UNESCO recognition. Set between the Belbo stream and the Rio Nizza, the town offers a perfect blend of culture, art, and winemaking tradition. Its historic centre is a mosaic of scenic alleys and heritage buildings, including the Town Hall with its bell tower El Campanòn, and Palazzo Crova – an 18th-century noble residence that today hosts the Association, the Enoteca Regionale, and the Palazzo del Gusto.
