Address

Via Gianole 20
Castel Boglione

Founded in 1900, Cascina Garitina is a family-run farm now in its fourth generation with Gianluca Morino, the current owner, supported by Pasquale, Alessandra, Gaia and Veronica. The company takes its name from the great-grandmother Margherita, whose diminutive “Margheritina” in dialect became “Garitina.” She began the activity in 1900, later continued by grandfather Giovanni and by Pasquale and Assunta. The farm’s activity is focused on the enhancement of Barbera, the grape variety that covers most of the estate’s vineyards and to which the best-exposed plots are dedicated. In particular, the oldest vines are used for the production of Nizza DOCG.
